| John Herd is Aesir Group International’s Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Herd holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Behavior from the USAF Academy and two Master of Science degrees. One in Logistics Management from the Air Forces Institute of Technology and the other is in National Resource Strategy awarded at the Industrial College of the Armed Forces in Washington DC. Mr. Herd is a retired senior Air Force officer with over 26 years experience primarily in logistics, but concluded his military service as the Director of the USAF Academy’s Center for Character Development. Mr. Herd’s prior leadership (two and half years) in running the cadet honor division made him the Commandant of Cadets ideal selection as the Center’s 4th Director. Mr. Herd has a broad logistics background in fighter maintenance, project management, requirements identification and aircraft beddown. He also has extensive leadership experience garnered while commanding on six different occasions: three maintenance squadrons, one deployed maintenance squadron, one deployed logistics group and one logistics group. The last organization had over 1,500 people with wide ranging duties from contracting to resupply activities. He has worked various staff assignments from Tactical Air Command’s Logistics Directorate, to the Standard Systems Center at Gunter AFS, AL, and in the joint environment at HQ NORAD-USSPACECOM in the J4 Directorate. |
